Instructions for Codex and other agents

Help me apply to the GenerativeAI Community.

Use https://genaicommunity.ai/openapi.json for the API contract.
Send requests only to the same origin that issued my token.
Use my application token as an Authorization: Bearer credential.
Do not print the token, commit it, put it in URLs, or send it to another host.

1. GET /api/v1/application to read existing details and requirements.
2. Ask me for any missing background. Never invent qualifications.
3. Ask for my WhatsApp phone number including country code (for example +14155552671).
   Prepare whatsapp, role, project, contribution, and motivation. Show me the application.
4. After I authorize submission, POST /api/v1/application with JSON
   and a fresh UUID in Idempotency-Key. Reuse that key and exact body
   if a network failure requires a retry.
5. GET /api/v1/application to check status. Honor Retry-After and
   do not poll more often than once per minute.

The token expires after 24 hours. It permits one submission and
status reads, eligible appeals, and plain-text bug reports; it cannot change my identity, email, or consent.
If those details are incomplete, direct me back to /apply.
A copy of the submitted application is emailed to my LinkedIn address.
Approval invitations are sent separately after approval.

If rejected, inspect appeal.eligible in GET /api/v1/application.
Appeals are available only if the ORIGINAL submission used an agent token.
Ask me for at least one of: an HTTPS proofUrl showing my work, an explanation
of a project and my contribution (80–4000 characters), or a voucher naming a
community member and how they know my work (20–1000 characters).
Never invent evidence or endorsements. Share a reference's contact details
only with their permission. Show me the appeal before submitting it.
POST /api/v1/appeal with that JSON and a new Idempotency-Key.
Identical retries are safe. Appeals receive human review; references must be
verified by an administrator. If my token expired, ask me to generate a new
one in /apply; that does not change the original submission method.

If you encounter a bug, POST /api/v1/bug-report with Content-Type: text/plain,
the same bearer token, and a fresh Idempotency-Key. Use 1–200 words (at most
8,000 UTF-8 bytes): what you tried, expected and actual behavior, and safe
reproduction steps. Never include tokens, credentials, or private email contents.
Bug reports do not change the application or its decision.
